Multi-Metallic colour printing

What is Multi-Metallic Colour printing?

Previously, if a client required more than one metallic colour in their print job, the corresponding amount of spot colour inks would have to take up an extra colour pass each (one for gold, one for silver, one for metallic blue and so on) which can be costly. Due to the added expense, most clients would only use 1 or 2 metallic colours.

Our unique process however, can create unlimited metallic colour through printing special 4 colour ink over a special silver ink in a single pass through our advanced printing machines at no extra cost. This process is therefore inspiring to designers, economical for brand owners.

This process can be applied to virtually any printed materials such as:

How many metallic colours can our process achieve?

Our process can produce unlimited metallic colours. We have produced a metallic chip / swatch book features over 600 metallics colours. Our range of colours vary from deep, rich colours to light, pastel colours. You can either select colours from our coded or let us know if you would like something inbetween.

Should we use surface treatment?

Just like the existing metallic colours, any form of surface finishing such as lamination, UV varnish, Waterbased varnish, etc. will reduce the metallic effect of the print. However, for products such as packaging, folders, paper bag or any products that are constantly being handled, we recommend at least water based varnish.
